Are you consciously unconscious? | Lifestyle By Laptop

Did you know that we spend 95% of our time in our subconscious or unconscious brains and only 5% in our conscious! 



Did you notice the weather this morning when you woke up?  

Or hear the raindrops?  

Did you notice the smell of your coffee?  

Did you feel the texture of your breakfast? 

You didn’t?? 

That’s because you were in your subconscious mode! 

The subconscious mode is a little like autopilot, 

Its where all your beliefs, conditioning and past experiences live! 

Like a little dark cave…where shadows lurk! 

The conscious mode is where you are fully present to the now! 

Fully present to what’s happening around you without any bias from the past. 

I know this is heavy…stick with me here… 

Subconscious mode makes you question all sorts of things like: 

  • “I wonder what my boss thinks?” 
  • “What happens if I screw up and lose my job?” 
  • “Does she love me?” 
  • “I think he doesn’t care about me.” 
  •  “Why does my life suck?” 
  •  “I don’t care about my job. Is there something wrong with me?” 
  • “I can’t finish anything. What’s wrong with me?” 

These thoughts have no use…. 

Well 99% of them that is. 

And yet we spend so much time and energy on them! 

Which thoughts are useful? 

Conscious thoughts! 

Conscious thoughts are thinking about how you can solve problems and understanding knowledge! 

That’s it. You can ignore every other thought! 

Feeling better? 

You can thank me later ? 

I know you’re thinking… 

But how do I get into my conscious mode… 

Ahhh…I’m glad you asked! 

Every time you start drifting off, become aware of it.  

Just observe your brain and the crazy stuff you’re thinking about! 

Don’t judge. If you do that, you’re activating your subconscious mode again. 

Just say to yourself “Ah that’s a cute thought. Now, let’s get back to reality.”
